When Depression Starts to Take Hold

How I Work With Depression

I don’t approach depression as something to “push through” or fix quickly.
There is usually a reason your system has slowed down or withdrawn.

In our work together, we move gently and at your pace.

We don’t force change.
We begin by creating enough safety for you to reconnect — with your body, your emotions, and your energy.

Through a body-based approach, informed by Core Energetics, we explore what may be sitting underneath the depression — whether that’s unexpressed emotions, long-term stress, or parts of you that have been holding too much for too long.

Together, we begin to:

  • Rebuild connection with your body and internal experience

  • Gently access emotions that may have been shut down

  • Increase your energy and sense of aliveness over time

  • Shift patterns of self-criticism into more awareness and support

  • Create small, sustainable changes that feel manageable

This is not about forcing yourself to feel better.
It’s about creating the conditions where feeling can return — naturally and safely.
